Katy
Fisher

BFA
graduate
of
Drake
University
in
Des
Moines,
Iowa
and
studied
at
the
Lorenzo
de
Medici
Art
Institute
of
Florence.
She
has
been
recognized
nationally
for
her
design
work.
Most
recently
Fischer
has
shown
in
Venus
Envy
(Lemp
Brewery
2003),
Elvis
Anniversary
Show
(Mad
Art
Gallery
2003),
and
The
Five
Corners
(Mad
Art
Gallery
2002).
Describing
her
work
as
a
visual
diary,
Fischer
creates
intimate
pieces
strongly
reflecting
her
printmaking
and
graphic
design
background.
Focusing
on
themes
from
childhood,
she
often
incorporates
children's
toys
and
clothing
into
her
